So back in May my beloved grandfather passed away finally joining my grandmother, nearly on their anniversary. As such my parents decided to finally retire and move back home to Oregon. I went with them for a change of scenery and now have to find a job and friends. We arrived in the beginning of August and I am surprised at how many different trees they have. Also for the prices on everything. You'd think that living near the ocean would mean cheap seafood but it's just as expensive as in the mid-west.
So far job hunting is not going well. I have applies to about 17 places and have gotten either no replies or been told sorry someone else got it. Guess I'll have to flip burgers again.
We have also gotten a dog, a little Chihuahua named Miri. She's adorable and very hyper, loves to chew on things and does not like the pee pad. As she's only 2 and a half months this is not surprising.
I have looked up conventions for around Salem and have found that I have to go to Portland or Seattle. I was surprised to find that Salem, while the states capital, does not have any conventions or a proper mall. It also seems to be a retirement city and a place for different ethnicities to settle.
So I'm not really sure what else to update on so I'll just end this here and if you have anything you want to know just ask.
